Crazies Rights

Crazies Rights...

by Tony Ryals
Come all of you crazies out of the closet,
Take your society’s prejudice go ahead toss it,
Heteros, homos, asexuals, agnostics,

Atheists, religious nuts, schizophrenic diagnostics,
Doctors, lawyers and Indian Chiefs.
We all share the same crazy joys and crazy griefs,
Should a crazy psychiatrist decide who’s crazier than thou,
A psychiatrist whose university and culture made him crazier than a mad cow.
With delusions of grandeur,
And money so pure,
You pay him pay him enough he'll sell you his cure,
You believe that and you're crazy for sure,
Come all you crazies out of the closet,
Take your society's prejudice go ahead toss it,
The psychs they try to put us in our places,
Mental straight jackets to control all the spaces,
Pills and electric shocks to erase the mind's traces,
So like this even you will fit in,
To a society whose morality is guilty as sin,
So come all you crazies out of the closet,
Take your society's prejudice go ahead toss it,
If you get shot on the street chances are it won't be by a crazy,
just another sane person whose values are hazy,
Only the sane can legally carry a gun,
So if you see one a-comin' you better run,
If you're in San Francisco looking for intellectual release,
Nowadays beware of the S.F. "psych police",
If you get too intellectually free,
The psych police get you for thinking without a degree,
And take you to S.F. General with glee,
It's a poor person's nut house from another century
Once you're locked in I'm sure you'll agree,
And if you ask the politicians they'll only frown,
But where were the "psych police" when Jim Jones was in town?
