He released a series of text messages and e-mail correspondence between Veronique Pozner, himself and other people that appear to back up his claim.
He also released a statement from his mother -- who is Veronique Pozner’s mother and Noah’s grandmother -- supporting what Haller did for the family in the days after the tragedy.
From the standpoint of Noah's father, Lenny Pozner, “My son was murdered” and Haller “sought to profit from it in any way that he could,” Pozner said Friday. “He never even bothered to talk to me about it.”
Haller “positioned himself early on, and without our consent as our spokesperson and representative,” Pozner said in a written statement that preceded the interview. “He made declarations and statements in the media, submitted legislative proposals, collected money and registered domain names and email addresses in our murdered son’s name in the wake of our tragedy, even though neither of us signed any retainer agreement with him or gave him permission to do so.
“He continues to use the events of December 14th to further his career as an attorney,” Pozner said. “If you Google his name ... he’s a celebrity. He’s a big attorney all of a sudden.” Continued...

Hartford, CT -- Republicans and Democrats, State Senators and Representatives, the Governor and Lieutenant Governor, rabbis and community leaders all gathered for a special event marking the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s 18th “Yahrtzeit” (Anniversary of Passing).
Due to the Rebbe’s inspiration, thousands of educational and social service centers have been established throughout the world. In our state alone, twenty-three full-time Chabad centers serve families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
“Even after eighteen years, Chabad continues to grow,” said Governor Dannel P. Malloy. “You can be sure that the Rebbe would be proud.”
On Monday, June 18, dignitaries from across Connecticut convened in the Senate Chamber of the State Capitol for an evening of tribute. The program included a musical celebration highlighting songs the Rebbe composed, as well as a brief video biography of the Rebbe. Personal memories were shared by Rabbi Yisrael Deren, Regional Director of Chabad.
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman served as host for the event. “I cannot think of a better place from which to honor the Rebbe,” she said. “We should do much good in the Capitol, just as Chabad does every day.”
During his remarks, Governor Malloy announced that Friday, June 22 will be designated as a “Day of Goodness and Kindness” in Connecticut. The actual date of the Rebbe’s passing is the third day of the Hebrew month of Tammuz. This year, the corresponding date is Saturday, June 23.
“The trademark of Chabad, based on the guidance of the Rebbe, is belief in the inherent goodness of the world and its inhabitants. Hence, every person is worthy of attention, love, and knowledge,” reads a proclamation signed by the Governor. “A central tenant of the Rebbe’s teaching is the idea that every single positive act, as minor as it may seem, contributes to a better, more perfect world.”
In Connecticut, Chabad maintains twenty-three full-time centers. Known as “Chabad Houses,” these institutions stand out as welcoming spaces for all in need.
